I graduated from high school in May of 1970 and spent that summer with my girlfriend and playing in a rock band. I was scheduled to begin classes at UTA in the fall. However all summer I was filled with a nagging fear of the future - I did not see the point and had no purpose for living. Believing God
As a new Christian I struggled with a constant awareness of unworthiness and sinful thoughts. It wasn't until a year or so later that I learned that those thoughts are not mine but the devil was harassing me. One day at a hotel room I was going through this battle again and it was really weighing me down. I got on my knees and began to pray I John 1:9, "If we confess our sins God is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."....READ MORE

God Provides
Several years ago as I walked around my neighborhood every evening I began making declarations out loud. As I walked I would declare that I have money, lots of money. I raised my voice and called for money to come to me over and over again. I talked directly to the money and told it, it was mine. I even said to the money, "I don't know how you are going to come to me but you are coming to me because you are already mine." Every day as I walked I voiced these declarations, too many to write them all....READ MORE

Whenever I break for lunch while painting I wrap up my paint trays in plastic so they will not dry out. On this job I had two trays; one for the ceiling and one for the walls; the colors were not the same, but they were very similar. After lunch I came back and opened one of the trays and grabbed the roller and was just starting to raise it up to paint and the Lord spoke – “wall paint”. I immediately stopped and looked then opened the other tray to compare the two paint colors...READ MORE

I was somewhat familiar with him and his family as I had painted for him many times before as well as his daughter and sons.
