Declaring Things That Are Not As Though They Were
Several years ago as I walked around my neighborhood every evening I began making declarations out loud. As I walked I would declare that I have money, lots of money. I raised my voice and called for money to come to me over and over again. I talked directly to the money and told it, it was mine. I even said to the money, "I don't know how you are going to come to me but you are coming to me because you are already mine." Every day as I walked I voiced these declarations, too many to write them all. Some of you reading this will recognize that this is a Biblical truth that we can put into practice about anything as long as it's in accordance with God's will. Some of you won't like it because it's about money, but I try not to ever limit God about anything. I do this with everything that God sets in my heart to do. I did this every day for a year. One day as I went out to walk I started to make the declarations, but just did not have the spirit to do so. That happened a couple of days and I realized that the season of doing that had come to an end. It was time now to watch and wait. I planted the seeds and now they need time to grow.
Turning Point
A few years later it was 2013 and I was working hard on a house, patching, sanding, texturing, priming, and painting. I had been doing this for 35 years and now I found that every time I went to work, I couldn't wait to stop. I said, "God, I'm so tired of doing this! I am worn out!" I started taking hour long lunch breaks and quitting around 3:30 in the afternoon. I just didn't want to do this anymore. After about two weeks of this I realized God was telling me it was time to stop. I still needed to make money so what should I do? As I walked through the kitchen I saw a commercial on TV. I kept walking and suddenly stopped as God spoke to me about that company. He said, "That company has filed for bankruptcy and yet here they are on TV showcasing a new logo. They know something and they are not going under. Go check them out on the internet." It said they were going to merge with another company. Their stock was trading at .50/share, but God revealed to me that their stock was really worth $7/share. He was showing me the great abundance of money that is available in the stock market. I've seen those ads on television for online stock brokers, but quite frankly I didn't know anything about the stock market or stock trading. I thought about it and for one reason or another I decided I couldn't do that, so I didn't. I continued to work, hating it more and more each day. I wanted to quit working so bad, I was so tired of it. One day I thought, "I wonder how that stock is doing." I got on the internet and there it was, right at $7/share. I kicked myself mentally and emotionally for a couple of weeks. Then looked at it again. It had fallen to $2.50/share. I blurted out, "There is still money to be made here, it will go back up to $7/share!" So I quit working that Friday evening knowing that God had revealed to me how he would provide for me in my final 30 years on the Earth.
When you are asking God for something and declaring and calling forth something, it helps if you pay attention to what God is showing you because he is bringing those things to you in ways that you do not expect. Sometimes we think he's going to write it in the sky (which he can do), but most of the time he speaks, revealing it to us. I realized I had missed a great opportunity to reap a harvest simply because I didn't believe I could do what he showed me. God was trying to get the money I called for to me, but I did not make the way to collect it or receive it the way God was giving it to me. I missed that opportunity, but I didn't quit. I then spent two years sitting before God, staring at my computer screen for six hours a day, asking him to reveal to me how to make money in the stock market. He did and continues to do so. One of my desires is to help others learn to do this as well as God said to me "Many will be blessed."
If you belong to Jesus, God has blessed you with every blessing he has in and through Jesus. He wants you to seek him to discover how you can participate in his kingdom right now. It doesn't matter how many times you have failed, God never quits on you so don't you quit on God either! He's always waiting for you to surrender yourself completely to him. He'll take what you give him, but it's always best if you give him all of yourself so he can bless you back with all of himself! It seems we have made following Jesus so very complicated when in fact it is so very simple. Life is so much better when we stop doing our own thing and just listen to Him, believe Him and walk with him. Surrender to Jesus today, you'll be very glad you did.
Stock Trading Update (five years later)
I went through three trading programs each one better than the last. Then another program came out but some of the features I liked and used were not there. Then one day my software would give me an error message and I couldn't even use it at all! I kept trying and after a week or so I called customer support. They said they would look at it. So I waited and waited. I was about to call them, but I did not want to come across as a complainer so I said, "God what should I do?" He spoke clearly and said, "Watch and see what I will do." So I waited. Then one day it was time to call them again. A technical support person looked at the problem for about thirty minutes, but could not fix the problem. So he said, "I am going to hook you up with our advanced software, it has literally everything - all the features, bells and whistles - everything." This brought me into a whole new world of stock trading. I am so glad I waited and got to see what God will do for me! Again just listen, believe, and walk with him. There's no better life than this.
