Jesus Speaks

2024 - I was sitting in church during worship and I simply prayed, "Jesus, I want to say what I hear you saying and do what I see you doing." Jesus said, "I want you to listen to what I say and do what I say." Simple and direct. It's not about what I want but what He wants.

2023 - I was standing at one end of a pool table and Jesus was standing at the other end. I said, "Are you any good at this, I bet you are because you know everything. They have changed things down here, now you get a trophy just for showing up instead of accomplishing something. You have accomplished all you have set out to do, do you have any trophies?" Jesus said, "You, are my trophy." When he speaks, his words though often few, penetrate into the depths of your heart and spirit confirming his love for you and his constant fellowship with you.

2023 - Lately I have been asking God to "make my life count for something!" Jesus says, "When you listen to me and believe me then do all I ask or tell you to do, then your life truly counts for something in my kingdom. Whether it is something big or something small if I want it done then it is important. Just walk with me surrendering yourself to me. Let me do my will through you is all I ask of you, when you do that then all you do will have truly counted for something."

2023 - In a dream I rose into the air and went up into a college hallway on the second floor. As I stood there watching all the students milling about another man rose up from the outside also coming up to the second floor. He joined me and in an instant he was proclaiming the gospel among the students, encouraging some and rebuking others. People turned to look at me and I shrugged my shoulders and said , "This is my partner, he is bolder and more agressive than I am." Later I told that dream to Sylinda. Then after a few days I asked Jesus, " Who is that man in my dream?" Jesus replied, "It's Sylinda!" When I told Sylinda that she said, "I knew it was me as soon as you told me the dream!"

2022 - GOD'S FAITHFULNESS WINS AGAIN! We were driving from Granbury to Arlington and suddenly an intense pain arose in my right side. I have experienced it several times before and knew right away it was a kidney stone. As the pain increased, I became nauseous my mouth watering. Sylinda and I began speaking to the kidney stone to "dissolve and pass through". After ten minutes or so we pulled into a restaurant to get lunch to take to my mom. I walked around the truck speaking to the kidney stone while Sylinda got the sandwiches. Five minutes later she came back, and we both laid our hands on my side and claimed the promise that if any two agree as touching anything it shall be done for them. We told the kidney stone over and over to dissolve and pass through. Then in about two minutes the pain simply vanished, and I felt great! Total time about 17 minutes of believing and speaking and not giving up. This is the second time that I have been delivered from kidney stones in a matter of minutes by claiming the promises of God. (Kidney stones by the way are extremely painful!)

2020. A dream. I was walking in the yard between two large apartment buildings. Ahead was a man at the top of a very large extension ladder about 30 feet high. I said, "Lord I want to rise up into the air to that height and be close to him." I began to rise up, other people came outside looking up at me and saying, "How did you do that?" I said, "This is to show you that you can do more than you think you can." I meant that in Christ you can. (I have had dozens of dreams like this one about rising up into the air and preaching to people below.)

2020. While sitting in my living room listening to worship music, I was thinking of my friend Sylinda. Jesus said, "Do not say an unkind word to her, do not ridicule her or make fun of her, do not give her a hard time, do not be upset with her...ever." Then I saw myself giving her flowers in a vase and Jesus showed me that I was to do this from time to time, and that I was to do this to show her how much He loved her. (We were married in 2021).

2019. I was sound asleep on my back. Suddenly I sat straight up in bed wide awake and the Lord said to me, "Ask whatever you will and it shall be done unto you. I asked for several people I know to be saved, filled with faith, filled with the Holy Spirit, filled with the knowledge of God and be completely surrendered to Him.

2010. I just stepped out of the shower when the Holy Spirit rose up within me. I said softly, "Jesus you're something else." Jesus appeared in my spirit; he cocked his head to one side and with a grin said, "Yeah, I am aren't I." With that we both broke out laughing.

2005. One day as I started painting the inside of a rental property all by myself I said, "Lord today I am not going to listen to the radio or think about anything. Instead I am going to turn my full attention to you and you only and just listen to you." And so I began. Rolling paint on the wall, listening, not even thinking... thirty minutes, an hour, then another hour of pure silence. About 11 AM I said, "Lord, I have been listening to you for three hours now and I haven't heard a thing." He spoke saying, "You know why you haven't heard anything?" I thought to myself "I should write this down, he's about to tell me some great secret about listening and hearing him." Then he said, "Because I haven't said anything." I laughed, he grinned knowingly. (He will be your best friend if you let him.)

2004. It was a typical scorching summer day - Texas in July with temperatures around 101. I had been going through a tough time and was mowing a field in front of a store. The store had tied some balloons onto a post on their storefront. They broke loose and rose up about the height of a street light. The wind carried them across the field then they circled back right where they started. This happened three times, then the Lord spoke. "These are the things that you are struggling with; the things that you have not yielded to me; they will keep coming back until you deal a death blow to them."

2003. I had finished painting two houses on a cul-de-sac and another homeowner had hired me to paint his house. I was talking with him and he said, "I saw you working and getting all these jobs around here, so I said, 'Lord why is this man getting all these jobs.?' The Lord told me, 'Because he is mine.'" I was really blessed hearing that God had spoken to someone about me.

2002. During this same tough time in my life I was driving during my lunch break. Things were unusually difficult - I listened to Christian radio while driving, but it didn't help much. I arrived at the job site turned up the music a bit and said, "Jesus, dance with me." He said, "No". I was instantly shocked since that was not the answer I was expecting. Just as quickly he said, "You dance with me."

2001. Often the Holy Spirit rises or swells up within me to direct me to pray, listen, or declare something. This time I was lying on my bed on my back as the Holy Spirit rose up within me. As I began to worship and pray and declare things - the presence of the Holy Spirit became more and more intense. I began to feel him filling me more and more. This was not unusual for me, but this time he just kept going and going and going - he wouldn't stop! I was being filled so full I thought I was going to explode and then I reached a point where it actually became painful. I looked at my stomach it had swollen to the size of a watermelon rising up before my eyes. Then after sometime he stopped. I knew that he had implanted something in me that someday would be birthed (become reality) in and through my life. (P.S. Years later a friend of mine shared in a group that he had this exact same experience, but I had never told him about my experience.)

2000. It was a Sunday morning and I was driving from south Fort Worth to Eagle Mountain Lake to go to a church there. I had been struggling with a few things so I was talking with God on the way there. I kept asking him, "Am I your son?" over and over again. Suddenly, as I was going 60 MPH on the freeway a dove came and simply glided on the wind about six inches over the front of the hood just above the hood ornament. Amazingly he stayed there about 5-10 minutes. I arrived at the church went in and began worshipping the Lord. The pastor began to speak - he is known to be very prophetic. About half way through his message he stopped. He said, "I have a message for someone from the Lord. The Lord says, 'You are my son, you are my son.' That's for someone here." Then he went on and finished his message.
