The Christmas Gift

It was the month of December and I was standing in my friend's kitchen, excited about giving her a gift for Christmas.  I had chosen to give her a wonderful worship CD that I had recently discovered and had been listening to almost every day.  So here I was standing there handing her the present.  She unwrapped it and I said, "I want you to play this right now I know you will really enjoy it!"  She looked at me with disappointment and said, "My CD player is broken."  Without hesitating I blurted out, "One of your children is giving you a CD player for Christmas, the Lord just revealed that to me just now."  One of her sons was standing there and said, "I might as well give it to her now."  He went and got it from his room and gave it to her.

That was truly an amazing moment because I did not know that one of her children had bought her a CD player, the Lord Jesus literally told me that just as I was standing there talking to her.  It was completely natural for me to just say that immediately. 

Consider what God says...
  • John 10: 27  My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
  • I Corinthians 12:4-11 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
​Can you hear the voice of Jesus?  Jesus says you can.  He is not lying.  Do not contradict him, do not be contrary but listen to him, believe him and walk with him, you'll be glad you did.
